Las Vegas Street Walkers and Hookers

This section is really not needed if you have already read Prostitution in Las Vegas. You will already know that all prostitution is Illegal in Las Vegas/Clark County.

However, you are convinced that (1) it is legal to pickup and pay women for sex or (2) you are just so hard up you are going to risk it. So here is what you should know and consider when hooker shopping.
    In no special order:
  • Many of the girls walking the streets have serious drug or mental issues and most likely are owned by a pimp. (See ownership below).
  • Many of the street girls have either been in the business for years and are basically burnouts or are new to the business and being forced there by the pimp. (See ownership below).
  • These girls have a higher likelihood of diseases (although any girl can be infected).
  • Some of these girls are just that; underage girls being forced into and kept the sex trade against her will. You are basically raping an underage girl! (See ownership below).
  • These girls are so indebted to their pimp that they will also steal anything from you that they can. You might pay her for services but given any opportunity will swipe your wallet, watch, camera and run.
  • It is not uncommon for these girls to not provide any sex, once you are in a comprising position, her pimp or other muscle will show up and if all you get is robbed, you will be lucky.
  • Metro's Vice loves to work under-covers as street walkers. While the percentages of girls "working" the sidewalk are turning tricks, a fair number - any hour of any day in any weather - you have the opportunity to encounter members of the local law enforcement groups.

Pimps and their streetwalkers

Pimps are not a fiction of the movies and Hollywood. What is fiction is that the pimp will bail the girl out of jail or help with legal bills. For the most part, the pimp convinces the girl that she loves him and needs him. Then he generally gets her hooked on drugs and, of course, he is her source - so again she needs him. Then he will convince her that he is all she has, she has no family or friends, only people that want to use or hurt her. Then he will take possession of her money, her id's, her property and tell her that she needs to get out there and earn some money to pay for her drug habit and the cramped apartment she likely shares with 2, 3 or 4 other girls. (By the way, each girl will pay the pimp enough room & board to pay for the apartment, but the pimp only pays once while collecting 3 times more than the actual amount.)

In order to bring a girl under his control a pimp may use drugs but may also use sexual assaults. To degrade her, he may repeatedly, personally rape her to make her submissive. He may also offer her to his buddies - for no charge - for them to 'party' with her all they want, say during a weekend long party. While generally it is the girl's job to go out and find the work and bring back the money, the pimp will also book the girl out for parties - and not pay her, after all, she 'owes him' money for room, board, drugs and more.

And for if she get picked up and booked, he will never be there for her. No lawyer, no bail, nothing. Why - first of all she is now costing him money and 2nd, it would immediately connect him to her and cause the police to begin watching him. After all, it is a felony "receive the proceeds from prostitution", and he don't want the cops to know he even knows these whores - he is an upstanding, legal businessman with no job, no income driving a $75,000 tricked out Hummer.
